Nigerian athlete disqualified from Olympics after doping test positive

The International Testing Agency (ITA) has reported on its official website that Nigerian boxer Cynthia Ogunsemilore tested positive for doping.

The ITA collected the sample under the supervision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) during an out-of-competition anti-doping control in Paris on July 25, 2024. The result was announced on the 27th.

The athlete has been notified and suspended – he will not be able to compete in the 2024 Olympic Games, train, practice or participate in any events related to the Paris Olympic Games.
