Figure skater Kamila Valieva’s father, Valery Ramazanov, said his daughter plans to compete in the 2026 Olympics. Sports24.

“My daughter and I already have a goal: to compete in the 2026 Winter Games. “Of course, if permission is given, Camila will perform in Italy,” Ramazanov said.

On January 29, 2024, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) found Valieva guilty of doping and disqualified her. She will not be able to compete in tournaments until December 2025. She will also not be able to train at state ice rinks.

On February 7, 2024, CAS published the justification for the Valieva case. In the skater’s blood, in addition to the banned trimetazidine, three permitted substances were found: ecdysterone, hypoxene and L-carnitine, as well as more than 50 supplements.

The figure skater was deprived of the gold medal of the Russian and European Championships, as well as the gold medal of the Olympic Games in Beijing in the team tournament. The Russian team took the bronze, the USA the gold, and Japan the silver.
