Kudryavtseva won the silver medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. She has won the gold medal at the World Championships 13 times and at the European Championships 9 times. She holds the record: she became the youngest gymnast to become the absolute world champion (at the age of 15).
In the summer of 2018, Yana Kudryavtseva married hockey player Dmitry Kugryshev. Their daughter Eva was born on December 25, 2018. The couple had a second daughter, Zoya, in 2020.
