“It is too early to talk about any agreements on friendly matches. We will inform about such agreements as soon as they are reached,” Mitrofanov said.
The Russian national team has not been able to participate in the European Championship since 2022 due to the suspension of the national team and Russian clubs from tournaments organized under the auspices of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).
The European Championship is the second major tournament that the Russian team, led by Valery Karpin, has missed.
