Kulichenko decided to change his sports citizenship to Cypriot in 2021. He lives and studies in the USA. Thanks to his businessman father, he managed to obtain Cypriot citizenship for investing more than 2 million euros.
On August 8, 2023, Kulichenko won the silver medal in the high jump at the Universiade in Chengdu, China. She showed a result of 1.91 m. The victory was won by Amoanimaa Yeboah, who jumped three centimeters higher. Russian and Belarusian athletes did not participate in the competition due to suspension.
