The press service of the Premier League published a post on its official Instagram account (its owner, Meta, is known as an extremist in Russia and has been banned) about former London Arsenal player Andrei Arshavin.
“You remember Andrei Arshavin. He scored four goals in one match. “This is the last Arsenal player to achieve this in the Premier League.”
In 1999, Arshavin made his debut at the top level for Zenit. After nine years in the St. Petersburg team, the Russian moved to London Arsenal. Arshavin played in England for four years. He was the league’s player of the month in April 2009.
He returned to Zenit on loan in 2012 and signed a full-fledged contract a year later. In 2015, the midfielder played for Kuban. Arshavin ended his career in Kazakhstan’s Kairat club in 2018.
Arshavin is now in St. He is a member of the board of directors of St. Petersburg Zenit.
In the completed season of the English Championship, Arsenal took second place with 89 points. The winner of the tournament was Manchester City, two points ahead of Arsenal. Liverpool closed the top three (82).
