Ignashevich was upset about his imminent departure from RPL 00:26

Former head coach of the Russian national team Boris Ignatiev called the chances of Kaliningrad “Baltika” led by Sergei Ignashevich to avoid relegation from the Russian Premier League (RPL). Ignatiev quotes words legal betting.

“Baltika has little chance of staying in the RPL. They don’t have enough points and there are only two rounds left. Competitors have more points. I will be sad to say goodbye to Baltika and Ignashevich,” said Ignatiev.

The former mentor of the Russian national team noted that Ignashevich masterfully established the team game in Baltika.

“You can see what he wants. His players who are responsible for parts of the game show sportsmanship and character,” Ignatiev said.

The expert also called Baltika’s play “watchable” but emphasized that even a team that “plays” like Sochi has already lost its chance to stay in the RPL.

Currently, Baltika is in 15th place out of 16 countries in the Russian Championship standings with 26 points.
