While Spartak Moscow’s midfielder Roman Zobnin explained why losing to Baltika from Kaliningrad in the Russian Cup Regional Road final could not be considered shameful, he could not answer the question of why the team could not score a goal. His words lead the way “RB Sports”.

“Can this defeat be called a shame? No you can’t. Baltika is a serious rival. They played in the main squad and gave good support. We are completely guilty. We missed an early goal. We had enough time to get back into the game. Unfortunately it didn’t work. How come they couldn’t score? I don’t know, that’s a tough question,” Zobnin said.

The match played on May 14 at the Kaliningrad Rostec Arena stadium resulted in the home team winning with the minimum score. The only goal was scored in the fourth minute – 24-year-old Colombian Kevin Andrade scored from a pass from Belarusian striker Vitaly Lisakovich.

In the super final of the Russian Cup, Baltika, led by Sergei Ignashevich, competed against the best team of the last pair of the RPL Road – St. Petersburg will compete with Zenit or Moscow CSKA. The teams’ first match in Moscow ended in a 1:1 draw. The rematch will take place on Wednesday, May 15, in St. It will be played in St. Petersburg. Start: 20:45 Moscow time.
