Stanislav Cherchesov, the former coach of the Russian national team, spoke about the conflicts at Spartak under his former coach Guillermo Abascala. His words are quoted “Match TV”.
“You can go a little crazy with Sobolev. Sable is, you have to understand that.
But Dzhikia is a completely different kind of person. How can you not sit down and talk to him? How can you not explain this to him? You can discuss anything with him calmly,” said Cherchesov.
On April 14, Gallermo Abascal was fired from his position as head coach of Spartak. After the restart of the season, the team under his leadership could only win once in five matches in the Russian Premier League (RPL). Under him, team captain Georgy Dzhikia lost his place in the starting lineup and was replaced by Alexander Sobolev.
Spartak, which collected 43 points after 27 rounds in the RPL, is in fourth place in the rankings. The red-whites drew 0-0 with Paris NN in this round. There is currently a trio in the table; Dinamo, Zenit and Krasnodar have 50 points each.
Previously Cherchesov accepted A possible job at Spartak.
