Former football player and captain of the Russian national team, Andrei Arshavin, said that he does not plan to go to England for a coaching internship. Sports24.

“I didn’t think about doing an internship in England. As long as I was interning under Marcel Lička, that was enough for me. “If necessary, I will go to England,” said Arshavin.

Arshavin played for Zenit from 1999 to 2008. He later played for London Arsenal. He returned to Zenit in 2012 and played there until 2015. Arshavin ended his career in Kazakh Kairat in 2018.

Arshavin played 74 matches with the Russian national team and scored 17 goals.

Arshavin currently serves as Zenit’s Deputy General Manager for sports development.

Zenit is in first place in the Russian Championship rankings with 47 points. In second place is Krasnodar. The Southerners are four points behind the club on the banks of the Neva.
