Oksana Domnina, the bronze medalist of the 2010 Olympic Games and the wife of Olympic champion Roman Kostomarov, talked about how the children perceived their father after he had amputation surgery in the “Will Show”.

“Of course, a lot of work has been done with children from a psychological perspective. But now, especially my son, he is eight years old, he is constantly coming up with ideas for my father… Recently, he cut a hand out of cardboard, came and said: Wear this,” said Domnina.

Domnina and Kostomarov are raising a daughter named Anastasia and a son named Ilya.

At the beginning of January 2023, Kostomarov was hospitalized after New Year’s performances at an open-air show. It was reported that he was in intensive care due to pneumonia and was connected to a ventilator, and his condition was evaluated to be extremely serious. He later received treatment at Kommunarka. Parts of his arms and legs were amputated.

On December 17, 2023, Kostomarov participated in the performance “Together and Forever” by choreographer Ilya Averbukh, skating for the first time after the hospital.

Previously Kostomarov compared yourself with a cockroach.
