New York Rangers defeated Arizona Coyotes in the regular season match of the National Hockey League (NHL).
The match, which took place at Mallett Arena in Tempe, USA, ended with Rangers’ score of 8:5. Russian goalkeeper Igor Shesterkin, who plays for a club in New York, did not take part in the match.
Alexis Lafreniere scored a hat-trick for the winners. Ryan Lindgren, Chris Kreider, Zach Jones, Barkley Goodrow and Artemi Panarin also scored a goal each. Mathias Machelli, Clayton Keller, Nick Bjugstad, Lawson Cruz and Logan Cooley scored the goals for the Coyotes.
Panarin also recorded three assists. Thus, in the NHL regular season, he scored 107 (44+63) points throughout the entire season. His four points moved him into third place in Rangers history in a season, tied with Mark Messier. Jean Ratel (109) and Jagomir Jagr (123) scored more goals during the season.
