When hiking, you need to put bandages and disinfectant in your first aid kit, Sportmaster PRO expert David Kumaritov said in an interview with socialbites.ca.
“What should you put in your personal first aid kit while hiking? Band-aids, bandages and disinfectants, painkillers, medications for digestive problems and allergies, a rescue blanket, tablets for water disinfection and, if necessary, individual medications,” said Kumaritov.
Kumaritov also noted that the traveler may need tools such as flares and pepper spray to scare away bears and other animals.
Hiking is a gentle walking journey, usually undertaken in mountainous areas and on well-prepared trails. Unlike hiking, which takes several days to spend the night in a tent, hiking involves a short one- or two-day hike with a light backpack and an overnight stay at a campsite. It also does not require special physical training.
