The National Hockey League (NHL) Washington Capitals and the National Basketball Association (NBA) Washington Wizards, for whom Russian Alexander Ovechkin plays, will not move until 2050. In this respect Access point said club owner Ted Leonsis.
Leonsis said an agreement was signed with D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser for a $515 million publicly funded arena project.
“It’s a great day and I’m very relieved. This is not only the right decision for the fans, the city and us, but also a smart business deal,” said Leonsis.
