Russian fighter will meet Ukrainian at UFC Fight Night tournament 09:19

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White said on his social networks that Russian fighter Sharabutdin Magomedov (Shara Bullet) will fight Ukrainian Igor Poterya at the UFC Fight Night tournament to be held in Saudi Arabia on June 22.

Shara Bullet had one fight in UFC and defeated Bruno Silva via unanimous decision in October 2023.

Khamzat Chimaev and Robert Whittaker will face each other in the main fight of the evening. Chimaev will be able to compete in the UFC 300 tournament to be held in Las Vegas, USA on April 13. The fighter himself stated that he was ready to fight any opponent, but the fact that the tournament would take place during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan prevented him from performing.

On October 21, 2023, Chimaev defeated Nigerian Kamaru Usman by decision in the co-main fight of the night at the UFC 294 tournament in Abu Dhabi (UAE). The fight lasted for three rounds. Chimaev won by decision. The fighter had 13 fights in total and won each of them. Chimaev is ranked fourth in the official UFC heavyweight rankings.

Previously Russian UFC fighter disqualified due to doping.
