Tampa’s Russian hockey player Nikita Kucherov updated his own scoring record in the National Hockey League (NHL) this season by scoring a goal in a regular season game against Boston.
Tampa won with a score of 3:1. Kucherov broke his personal record by scoring his 42nd goal this season. Kucherov scored 41 goals in the 2018/19 season.
The Russian forward played in 71 games in the NHL this season and scored 42 goals and 82 assists. Kucherov leads the NHL in scoring for the season. In second place is Colorado forward Nathan MacKinnon. He has 123 points (45+78). Canadian Edmonton forward Connor McDavid completed the top three with 119 points (26+93). New York Rangers’ Russian forward Artemy Panarin (43+59) ranks fourth in the list of the best scorers of the season.
Tampa will play the Islanders in their next game. The meeting will take place on March 31. The kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 Moscow time. The teams met twice before this season and won once each.
