The Ukrainian national team defeated the Icelandic team in the last play-off match to qualify for the 2024 European Football Championship. The meeting took place in Wroclaw, Poland, and ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of the Ukrainians.
The Ukrainians’ scorers were Viktor Tsygankov (54th minute) and Mikhail Mudrik (84th minute). Albert Gudmundsson scored one goal for the Icelanders (30).
The opponents of the Ukrainian national team, which will compete in Group E at the European Championship, will be Romania on June 17, Slovakia on June 21 and Belgium on June 26.
