“I will be faster”: Russian national team player tells a fan on the field

Russian national team defender Daniil Khlusevich joked about a fan running out during a friendly match against the Serbian national team. His words are quoted “Sports Express”.

“How do I get a fan race? I don’t even know what to say. I’ll probably be faster. But he’s great. Will the national team need me as a substitute player? I won’t say it here. He is a striker, you saw, haha,” Khlusevich said.

During the match between the national teams of Russia and Serbia on March 21, a fan ran onto the field. For a while the referees couldn’t catch him, and after a few rounds he gave up on his own.

The Russian national team defeated Serbia with a score of 4:0 in the friendly match played in Moscow. Anton Miranchuk (from the penalty spot) and Maxim Osipenko scored in the first half. From the 21st minute, the Serbs were in the minority due to the dismissal of CSKA Moscow defender Milan Gaich. Alexey Miranchuk and Ivan Sergeev scored another goal each in the second half.

Khlusevich spent the entire 90 minutes on the field. The Spartak defender won a penalty in the first half.
