Spartak lawyer Tatyana Zavyalova evaluated the possibility of extradition of Quincy Promes to Russia. His words were quoted Sports24.

“Can Russia extradite Promes for tax evasion? If we talk about international law in general, not about Quincy, the UAE has the latest international convention agreement with the Netherlands.

Promes is not a citizen of the country where he evaded taxes. And he has Dutch citizenship. Accordingly, the person must be extradited to the country of his citizenship. There is nothing else,” said Zavyalova.

On March 13, Promes was arrested in the UAE in connection with a traffic accident. Before this, he was under house arrest.

On February 14, an Amsterdam court sentenced Promes to six years in prison for cocaine trafficking. The hearing of the case was held on January 24, and the prosecutor’s office requested that Promesa be sentenced to 9 years in prison. The Dutchman was placed on the international wanted list on 16 February. He also has a prison sentence of 1.5 years for stabbing.

According to MASH Russia could file a criminal case against Promes for tax evasion and extradite him.

Former star of the Dutch national team statedHe said that he was uncomfortable with Promes in the team.
