Anthony equalized the score in the 87th minute.
In extra time, Liverpool took the lead with the goal scored by Harvey Elliott in the 105th minute. Seven minutes later, Marcus Rashford equalized and at 120+1, Amad Diallo gave Manchester United the victory.
Liverpool are second in the English Premier League (EPL) standings, tied on points with London’s Arsenal in first place. Each of the teams collected 64 points, with Jurgen Klopp’s team falling behind on additional indicators. Manchester United is in sixth place with 47 points.
