Two Russian athletes from Rodchenkov’s base were disqualified for doping

Russian athletes Ekaterina Kuznetsova (Zyuganova) and Victoria Sudarushkina were disqualified for four years for violating anti-doping rules. In this respect reports All-Russian Athletics Federation (ARAF).

Shot putter Kuznetsova was disqualified for using (or attempting to use) a prohibited substance or method. His suspension ended in 2026, as the period between March 13, 2013, and March 12, 2015, when he was suspended for anti-doping rule violations, was counted.

Javelin thrower Sudarushkina was also disqualified for the same violation. He will be suspended until February 20, 2028.

The penalties were imposed based on data from the Moscow Anti-Doping Laboratory (LIMS). The LIMS database contains the results of doping tests for athletes from 2012 to 2015. A copy of the database was given to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) by whistleblower Grigory Rodchenkov in 2017.

Since January 2016 Rodchenkov has been living in the United States. He is a whistleblower for the World Anti-Doping Agency. on February 7th statedHe said the International Olympic Committee (IOC) should disqualify Russian athletes for at least 10 years.
