“Can Sobolev be called the new Sleeping Giant of Spartak? Sobolev Sleeping Giant is more agile than Pavlyuchenko. I can’t call him that, such a nickname doesn’t suit him. Sobolev is a good football player at a good level.
He is still young, he has time to become the top scorer in the Russian Premier League. Yes, I wouldn’t call Pavlyuchenko while he was sleeping,” Tarkhanov said.
Pavlyuchenko played for Spartak from 2003 to 2008. He also played for Tottenham Hotspur in England. Pavlyuchenko won a bronze medal at the 2008 European Championships as a member of the Russian national team.
