Former Russian national mini-football player Vyacheslav Moskalenko died during a special military operation in Ukraine. This was reported by Official website of the Russian Futsal Association.
“Vyacheslav Moskalenko died in the area of the Northern Military District. “The Russian Futsal Association expresses its deepest condolences to Vyacheslav’s family and friends.”
The former Russian national team football player was 43 years old.
He is a student of Novosibirsk Youth Sports School “Spartak”.
Vyacheslav Moskalenko played for Russian mini-football clubs Sibiryak (Novosibirsk), Dynamo (Moscow), Spartak (Moscow), TTG-Yugra (Yugorsk, now Gazprom-Yugra) and others. He is a two-time Russian champion (2002/2003, 2003/2004) and the owner of the Super Cup and the National Cup.
Moskalenko made his debut for the national team in a friendly match against Azerbaijan in January 2001. In total, he made 19 appearances for the country’s main team and scored 10 goals. He is the winner of the 2002 World Student Futsal Championship.
