During the winter transfer period, Zenit tried to buy CSKA and Russian national team striker Fedor Chalov. St. Petersburg club offered around 10 million euros RT.

According to the publication, the 25-year-old army forward rejected the offer of the blue-white-dark blue because he wanted to continue his career in Europe. CSKA also continues contract extension negotiations with Chalov.

The football player’s contract with CSKA continues until December 2024. The striker is a graduate of the Moscow club, which he joined in 2006. Ten years later, Chalov made his debut for the main team and became the top scorer of the Russian Premier League (RPL), scoring 15 goals in the 2018/19 season.

Chalov played in all 27 matches in all competitions this season and scored 11 goals and 3 assists. The team’s top scorer.

Chalov played on loan in Basel, Switzerland, in the first half of 2022.
