The Dutch prosecutor’s office has refused to clarify the issue of extradition of Spartak Moscow’s Dutch forward Quincy Promes from the UAE. This was reported by “Sports Express”.
“You should ask the Dubai authorities whether Promes was detained in Dubai. We are not making any statements regarding possible extradition,” the press service said.
Promes will join Spartak from St. Petersburg for the RPL match against Zenit from Dubai on 29 February. He could not fly to St. Petersburg. He was detained for leaving the scene of an accident during the training camp with the Red and Whites in the United Arab Emirates. Journalist Dmitry Egorov said that the Dutch football player faces a 4-year prison sentence in the UAE for fleeing the scene of the accident and will appear in court soon.
