Lokomotiv Moscow forward Artem Dzyuba admitted that he once met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. His words are quoted RIA News.

“What would you ask Putin? I don’t know what question to ask him. We already talked once, we had a very good conversation. If I find myself nearby again, I will definitely ask you something, but I will not come up with anything on purpose,” said Dzyuba.

Dzyuba signed a contract with Lokomotiv for the 2022/23 season. Later, the player and the club extended the contract under the 1+1 plan.

This season, Dzyuba played 16 matches in the Russian Championship and four matches in the National Cup and scored four goals and three assists. Last season, the striker shared the title of the team’s top scorer with Izidor and Miranchuk, playing for only half of the season.

Dzyuba defended the colors of the Russian national team from 2011 to 2021. The striker played 55 matches in the national team and scored 30 goals. Along with Alexander Kerzhakov, he is the top scorer in the history of the Russian national football team.
