Italian expert Massimo Carrera, former head coach of Spartak Moscow, talked about what he wishes for the team in the rest of the Russian Premier League (RPL) season. His words guide the way “RB Sports”.
“Do you want to go to Spartak in the last part of the season? I wish the red and whites to win 12 of the remaining 12 matches in the RPL. Is this possible? We must strive for this,” said Carrera.
The Italian expert led the red-whites to the championship in the Russian Premier League (RPL) in the 2016/17 season. In total, he worked as the head coach of the team from 2016 to 2018, before which he served as an assistant for two more years.
Spartak, which has been playing for 18 weeks in the Russian Premier League, is in fifth place in the rankings with 30 points. Krasnodar entered the winter break as leaders of the RPL with 38 points. St. Petersburg Zenit is in second place with two points missing. Dinamo Moscow (32 points) completed the top three.
In the first official match of 2024, Spartak will play against Zenit – the match will be held on March 2 in St. Petersburg. It will be held in St. Petersburg. The teams’ starting whistle will blow at 19:30 Moscow time.
