Lokomotiv Moscow played a friendly match with the UAE’s Gulf United team as part of the pre-season training camp. The meeting ended with an 11:1 victory for the “railway workers”.
Vladislav Sarveli scored a hat-trick for the red-green team. Rifat Zhemaletdinov, Sergey Pinyaev, Maxim Nenakhov, Egor Pogostnov, Vadim Rakov, Artem Dzyuba, Alexey Batrakov and Dmitry Radikovsky also scored one goal each. Before the end of the training camp, the Muscovites will also play a friendly match against Rostov.
After 18 weeks in the current Russian Premier League (RPL), Lokomotiv is in fourth place in the standings with 31 points. The team won eight matches, lost three and drew a further seven. After the winter break, the Railwaymen will continue their performance in the RPL with an away match against Dinamo on March 3.
Also, on March 14, Muscovites will continue to compete in the Russian Cup. They will face Mikhail Galaktionov’s team Baltika Kaliningrad in the rematch of the RPL Road quarter-finals. The first match of these teams ended with a score of 2:2.
