500 days without a defeat at Nuevo Pepico Amat in Elda

As the stadium underwent upgrades to meet top-tier standards, Eldense began the season with two home games, triumphing over Cartagena 0-1 and then defeating Villarreal 3-1. The campaign opener likewise kept the momentum alive with a 2-1 victory over Eibar, signaling that the club could still chase promotion. The team then edged past Elche, reinforcing the belief that a strong push for promotion remained on the horizon.
Last weekend Barcelona suffered a 2-0 loss to the league leaders, Real Zaragoza. On Monday at 21:00 they return to Nuevo Pepico Amat to face Alcorcón. Like the Eldense setup, Alcorcón is another squad promoted from Primera RFEF, and the objective remains clear: to secure a place in the top flight and avoid a difficult relegation battle.
Deportivo must collect three points to move into a more comfortable position in the table. After facing back-to-back clashes with ambitious promotion contenders, including matchups against Levante and other strong Spanish rivals, scoring away from home is likely to be tough. The best path forward lies in maximizing home fixtures where confidence can rise and points accumulate.
After the Alcorcón match, Eldense will not play again in front of their own fans until October 1, when they face Oviedo.

Fans understand that maintaining pressure at home and rallying the squad from the stands is essential, just as in the prior seasons. A solid bond between the players and supporters could prove decisive in the struggle to stay in the Second Division.
