Former UFC champion says Russia has changed and is no longer pessimistic

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion in two weight divisions, Henry Cejudo, shared his views from his trips to Russia. His words are quoted “Sports Express”.

“The most depressing Russian city? Honestly, I enjoyed all my trips to Russia. I think I felt a little bit of this depression when I first visited Moscow. But that was in 2006. When I visited Moscow in 2018, the city had completely changed. He got better. And when I first came to Russia in 2006, everything was gray and gloomy. But then it changed,” Cejudo said.

Cejudo had 20 fights in mixed martial arts (MMA), in which he won 16 victories and suffered four defeats. In freestyle wrestling, Cejudo became the champion of the 2008 Summer Olympics. He is also a World Cup champion, three-time Pan American champion and Pan American Games champion.

Cejudo had his last fight against his compatriot Aljamain Sterling in May 2023. Victory fell to the second. Thus, he managed to defend his title.
