In the next match of the regular championship day of the Continental Hockey League (KHL), Vityaz lost to Dinamo Minsk with a score of 2:3.

Alexander Darin opened the scoring midway through the first period. A few minutes later, Nick Merkley tied the game. While Roman Gorbunov put the Minsk team ahead at halftime, Dmitry Korobov increased Dinamo’s advantage at the end of the half. Alexander Yaremchuk reduced the gap at the beginning of the last period of the match, but the home team did not have the strength to do more.

Thanks to this victory, Dmitry Kvartalny’s team took the eighth and last place in the Gagarin Cup play-offs. Dinamo will be in the 1/8th of the tournament for the fourth time in a row.

Previously, SKA, Dinamo Moscow, Lokomotiv, Spartak, Severstal, Torpedo and CSKA were guaranteed to participate in the Western Conference Gagarin Cup play-offs.

The current winner of the Gagarin Cup is CSKA. On the 100th anniversary of its establishment on April 29, our Ordu team won the seventh match of the final series against Kazan Ak Bars and won the cup.
