Utkin about the conflict in Spartak: There are two solutions 09:39

Football commentator and blogger Vasily Utkin telegram channel He shared his views on the conflict between head coach Guillermo Abascal and captain Georgy Dzhikia in Spartak Moscow.

“About Jikia and Abaskal. There are two possible solutions to a dispute between a player and coach. Either the player leaves or both leave. But there is no way to allow a player to sack his coach. There are two exceptions. First: This player is Messi. Second: this club is Spartak,” Utkin wrote.

This season, Jikia has played in only six of a possible 18 matches in the Russian Premier League (RPL). His contract with his club expires in June 2024. At the end of 2023, the player’s agent Vadim Shpinev confirmed that Lokomotiv Moscow was interested in the defender. In addition, during the winter months, information emerged that Turkish Trabzonspor was interested in the Russian national player.

The player’s manager, Vadim Shpinev, said in his last interview that Dzhikia will not sign a new contract as long as Guillermo Abascal is in the team.
