Blogger Karina Istomina, wife of Dynamo Moscow football player Fedor Smolov, admitted on her Telegram channel that the birth of her daughter Laura helped her completely forget about the use of psychoactive drugs.

“I definitely don’t miss the substances and I don’t have any cravings. Actually, Laura’s appearance helped me a lot. I don’t see the point in drinking and ruining things because I have neither loneliness nor emptiness anymore. I feel like a whole person, ready to give love to those I love,” Istomina wrote.

Istomina talked about her drug addiction in 2021. He has also been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, which he has stated in various interviews.

On June 5, Dynamo Moscow forward Fedor Smolov and Karina Istomina announced that they are husband and wife. The newlyweds posted several photos from the wedding on social networks. The couple became parents in mid-November. They had a daughter.

In January last year, Smolov signed a contract with Dynamo. He is a student of the club. The player played for the blue-whites for the first time in the Russian Championship in 2007. From 2012 to 2021, the striker defended the colors of the Russian national team, with which he took part in the 2018 World Cup.

This season, Smolov played in 21 matches in all tournaments for the blue-whites and scored 5 goals and made 4 assists in these matches.
