World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) President Witold Banka is on the air on a radio station RMF FM He announced that a small group of Russian athletes will go to the 2024 Summer Olympics.
“Russians will not behave like Russians. This will be a small group of neutral athletes. “I believe that these will definitely be athletes who are against SVO,” he said.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) allowed Russia to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games with neutral status. The organization said Russian athletes will be required to sign updated terms of participation, which include a commitment to respect the Olympic Charter, including the “peaceful mission of the Olympic movement”. Russian athletes who rank well in their disciplines will be allowed to compete.
The Summer Olympic Games will be held in the French capital between July 26 and August 11, 2024.
