State Duma deputy, Olympic champion Svetlana Zhurova said that international organizations will not side with Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva if the Russian side objects to her disqualification. His words were quoted by Betonmobile.

“If such a thing happens, they will also watch Camila’s performance in official competitions, we understand the consequences.” They will not leave Valieva behind, they will not give her a quiet life. In Valieva’s case, there was a political order, they were attached to it, international organizations are trying to get as much as possible from it,” said Zhurova.

As part of the Russian national team at the 2022 Olympic Games, Valieva took first place in the team tournament and fourth in the individual championship. After his disqualification, the International Skating Union (ISU) awarded the Russians third place, without depriving Russia of the overall medals. Gold went to the US team and silver went to the Japanese team.

Valieva, among other things, lost the gold medals of the Russian Championship 2022 and the gold medal of the European Championship 2022, where a sample that gave a positive result for a banned drug was taken.

previously psychologist appreciated Valieva’s condition after disqualification.
