Russian goalkeeper helps Matthews’ team win the NHL All-Star Game

The team of American forward “Toronto Maple Leafs” Auston Matthews won the All-Star Game of the National Hockey League (NHL).

In the final match, Matthews’ team defeated Canadian Connor McDavid, who was playing for the Edmonton Oilers. The meeting took place at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto and ended with a score of 7:4.

The match was played in a 3-on-3 format, in two 10-minute halves. Team captain Auston Matthews scored two goals and had one assist. Clayton Keller, Alex Debrincat and Mathew Barzal also scored 3 (1+2) points in their team.

It is noteworthy that Russian goalkeepers played on both teams – Igor Shesterkin from the New York Rangers played on Matthews’ team, and Florida Panthers goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovsky defended the opposing goal. Both played one half and conceded the same number of goals (three each). Shesterkin sent seven of ten shots into his own goal, while Bobrovsky made ten saves.
