Daniil Gleikhengauz, choreographer and director of the Eteri Tutberidze group, admitted in his social networks that the coaching staff was responsible for introducing a banned substance into Kamila Valieva’s body.

“I don’t understand how this substance got into Kamila’s sample. I know that none of us would advise our athlete to take doping, and I am sure that Kamila never used it on purpose. I attended interrogations and hearings via video link. I am ready to continue doing everything to find the truth. In any case, we are guilty of not protecting our athlete. This saddens and pains my soul,” Gleikhengauz wrote.

Eteri Tutberidze previously stated about the “purity” of its athletes.

On January 29, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) disqualified figure skater Kamila Valieva for four years for violating anti-doping rules due to the presence of a banned substance in her blood.

This did not prevent the athlete from competing at the Olympic Games in Beijing, where he won the gold medal in the team tournament. On January 30, the International Skating Union (ISU) awarded gold to the US team and silver to the Japanese team, giving the Russians third place.

Volochkova before “sent” Officials receiving medals from figure skater Valieva.
