Russian pole vaulter Danil Lysenko answered the question about admission and possible provocations if he participates in international tournaments. His words are quoted RIA News.

“I know that in tennis and other sports our guys perform in a neutral situation. I also performed in a neutral situation in 2017 and 2018. I realized that it doesn’t matter what flag you fly under, everyone still knows you’re from Russia, and it doesn’t matter what uniform you wear. The attitude was different then, but now it is more complex. But if there were no strict criteria right now, I would agree to talk,” Lysenko said.

Russian and Belarusian athletes have been suspended from competitions since March 2022 due to a special military operation on Ukrainian territory. Such a decision was taken in line with recommendations made by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to exclude Russians and Belarusians from any international competitions.
