Russian hockey player completely changed his attitude towards alcohol

Former hockey player of some clubs in the Continental Hockey League (KHL), Igor Musatov, said that he has completely revised his attitude towards life. His words are quoted “Sports Express”.

“I completely reconsidered my attitude towards life. Including alcohol. I realize how many mistakes I made. I’m very regretful. I could have played at a completely different level and achieved more. But if it wasn’t for that ugliness, there wouldn’t be today’s happiness.

Although 90 percent of everything the yellow press writes is not true. But I admit it’s my fault, I gave it a reason. I did something out of youth and stupidity. The sea was knee deep. Just an ordinary arrogant man. And the press grabbed me and started pecking me,” said the former hockey player.

In September 2019, Musatov was arrested in the case of particularly large-scale fraud committed by a group of persons through prior conspiracy (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). He was accused of committing fraud with $800,000 worth of cryptocurrency.

Musatov graduated from the Moscow Spartak school. The player, who played for the red-whites for years, also represented Ak Bars, Neftyanik, Neftekhimik, Atlant, Salavat Yulaev, Lokomotiv, Avangard and Vityaz.

As a member of the Russian youth team, Musatov became the silver medalist of the 2007 World Championships, triple and double bronze and silver medalists of the KHL, respectively. The last club in Musatov’s career was Slovan Bratislava – he left the team in 2017.
