Anastasia Skoptsova ended her sports career together with her partner Kirill Aleshin. The pair won the junior world championship in the 2017/18 season and also won bronze medals at the Russian championship and the Grand Prix stage. The figure skater said in the film Sport24 in September 2022 that she had to take laxative pills throughout her sports career. Skoptsova said she used the drugs for nine months and gradually increased the dose because the old drug no longer worked.
