All participants of the African Football Cup play-offs have been announced

All matches of the African Cup of Nations group stage have ended, after which the participants in the first round of the play-offs have been determined.

Teams from Cameroon, Angola, Senegal, Mauritania, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, Cape Verde, Morocco, South Africa, Mali, Egypt, Morocco, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Ivory Coast took the lead from their groups. Matches of the first stage of the play-offs will be played between 27 and 30 January.

The matchups in the 1/8 final of the tournament are as follows:

Nigeria – Cameroon;
Angola – Namibia;
Cape Verde – Mauritania;
Morocco – South Africa;
Mali – Burkina Faso;
Senegal – Ivory Coast;
Egypt – Democratic Republic of the Congo;
Equatorial Guinea – Guinea.

The African Cup of Nations started on January 13 and will end on February 11. Originally, the tournament was planned to be held in 2023, but was postponed to 2024 due to weather conditions. The tournament was last held in 2022, with the Senegal national team winning.
