Rodnina: Nothing good can be expected from the West

Three-time Olympic champion State Duma deputy Irina Rodnina responded to the words of former Orenburg coach Jiri Jarosik, who said that it would be difficult for him to find a job both in the Czech Republic and abroad after working in Russia. He shared his opinion with him “Sports Express”.

“We should have stopped being surprised a long time ago. Is it true or false; are we living in an ideal world? It seems to me that it is time to get used to the fact that you cannot expect anything good from the West,” said Rodnina.

Yaroshik played as a football player for CSKA and Samara Krylya Sovetov in Russia. As part of the Moscow club, he became the champion of Russia in 2003, and also won the country’s Super Cup in 2004. After playing for English Chelsea, Birmingham and Scottish Celtic, the Czech player returned to Russia and signed a contract with Wings.

In 2023, Yaroshik took charge of Orenburg. He left the team two months later due to family reasons. It is worth noting that the wife of the Czech coach is the sister of Russian Akhmat player Anton Shvets.
