And you can’t see real speeds on the court, and when Hurkac serves at speeds of 215-220 km/h, it’s really hard to direct the ball on the return. And in the stadium, all this feels much better from the outside. The quality was good at these speeds, but in the fourth set, Danya, as he said, got a little tired and almost packed his bags. But this is what makes Medvedev different: he has the strength and actions that will allow him to win at the decisive moment,” Olkhovsky believes.
Medvedev defeated Hurkacz in five sets: 7:6 (4), 2:6, 6:3, 5:7, 6:4. In the semi-finals, he will face German representative Alexander Zverev, who unexpectedly defeated the world’s second racket, Spanish Carlos Alcaraz, with 6:1, 6:3, 6:7 (2). 6:4.
