Honored Coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova appreciated the unique jump performed by figure skater Margarita Bazylyuk at the Russian Jumping Championships in Moscow. He shared his opinion with him “Match TV”.
“This is a unique story. Our daughters are the first people in the world to achieve this. Margarita did this at 12 years old. The problem is not to lose it until the age of 14-16. She did what she did wonderfully and is now unique in the world. The video will go viral on the internet as soon as possible.
Who will allow Russians to participate in international competitions from now on? I said the same. They will not be able to do this themselves, they will be afraid. We will be alive and we will see. I don’t expect anything good from them. Everything that is happening is unfair to athletes, adults and especially children,” Tarasova said.
12-year-old Bazylyuk jumped by jumping two quadruple Salchows from an oiler. The referees did not evaluate the element because it was held after the end of the competition section in which the athlete won. Video of the jump is available at: telegram channel “Okko Figure Skating”
Before this, no women had ever completed two quadruple jumps in a row. However, since the Russian Jumping Championship is an exhibition tournament, the success will not be officially counted.
In the tournament, 16-year-old Adelia Petrosyan took second place (57.89) and 12-year-old Elena Kostyleva took third place (54.69).
On January 21, a team tournament will be held at the Russian Jumping Championships.
