Goalkeeper of the Russian national team, Lokomotiv Ilya Lantratov, said that he spent his holiday in Belgorod, which was bombarded by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. His words are quoted “Sports Express”.
“You yourself saw everything that happened before the New Year and during the New Year holidays. How did you deal with this? It’s a tough, tough day for the city. It’s hard to talk about it. May God grant that such a thing never happens. What do you wish for 2024? Calm and peaceful sky to all of us,” said Lantratov.
Lantratov is a native of the village of Prokhorovka, located in the Belgorod region. He started playing football at a school in Belgorod and then moved to the Shebekino team.
Lantratov was a Lokomotiv player from 2014 to 2016 but did not play a single match for the main team. Later, the goalkeeper played in Shinnik, Baltik, Fakel and Khimki. Lantratov returns to Lokomotiv in 2023.
Lantratov played in all 18 matches in the Russian Premier League (RPL) this season and conceded 23 goals. Lokomotiv ranks fourth.
