Former CSKA football player Pavel Mamaev caused controversy on the Moscow-Dubai flight of Flydubai airlines. This was reported by Telegram channel Mash.
According to the source, the former football player became enraged after flight attendants refused to bring him a stroller quickly. Mamaev was supposed to fly from Vnukovo on the morning of January 10. After landing, the captain of the ship announced that a technical malfunction was detected in the aircraft, so take-off was postponed until 23:30.
As passengers were getting off the plane, Mamaev said that he would not leave economy class without being given a stroller. The former football player shouted, using obscene language.
Mamaev’s last professional club was Khimki near Moscow, which he joined in December 2021. After one match, the midfielder left the team in 2022.
He has been away from professional football since October 2018 because he has been in prison. In addition to Pavel Mamaev, the Kokorin brothers and their friend Alexander Protasovitsky became defendants in the criminal case related to two fights in the center of Moscow. They were sentenced to actual prison terms in May 2019. Mamaev and Protasovitsky were sentenced to 1 year and 5 months in prison in the general regime colony, the Kokorin brothers – 1.5 years each. They were released on parole in September 2019.
