Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has announced his next opponents on his social networks.
“UFC PPV against Gaethje on June 8th. November UFC MSG – Fight with the winner of the fight between Charles Oliveira and Arman Tsarukyan. February 2025 – fight with everyone. Hopefully,” Makhachev wrote.
Oliveira and Tsarukyan will face each other at UFC 300 in April 2023. For the Russian fighter, this fight will be the 24th fight in his career (20 wins, 3 losses). Gaethje has had 29 fights and won 25.
On October 21, 2023, Makhachev scored an early victory over Australian Alex Volkanovski in the main fight of the evening at the UFC 294 tournament in Abu Dhabi. The Russian player defeated his opponent by knockout in the first round and defended his title for the second time. He now has 25 wins in 26 fights.
On February 12, 2023, Makhachev defeated Alex Volkanovski by unanimous decision after five rounds at UFC-284. This was the Russian’s first title defence.
