Atalanta head coach Gian Piero Gasperini praised the team’s Russian midfielder Alexei Miranchuk and said that he is in great form. His words are quoted TuttoAtalanta.
“He is in incredible form. I released him again today and he played the whole match. He showed that he is the best in attack. We have many players who are useful in attack, if everyone can give us more we can stay at the top,” said Gasperini.
On January 7, Atalanta drew with Roma with a score of 1:1. Miranchuk stayed on the field for 90 minutes and made an assist.
Miranchuk transferred from Lokomotiv Moscow to Italian Atalanta in September 2020. His contract with the Bergamo club expires in June 2025.
The Russian player failed to gain a place in the main team and was transferred to Turin on loan in the summer of 2022. The midfielder spent a year at the Torino club, scoring four goals in 29 appearances. The Russian player started the new season in Atalanta. Miranchuk played 15 matches with the team in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
