Spartak forward Quincy Promes is in danger of being extradited from the UAE to the Netherlands after posting photos from his birthday in Dubai on social networks voetbalzone.
The Netherlands and the UAE have an extradition agreement. The extradition agreement will come into force if the Dutch police inform the UAE law enforcement authorities about the presence of the Spartak striker in their country.
On June 19, the Dutch Royal Court sentenced Promes to 18 months in prison for stabbing his cousin. Promes is also a defendant in a criminal case related to drug smuggling and smuggling, so Dutch police wiretapped his phone conversations.
Promes has been playing for Spartak since February 2021. He previously played for the red and whites between 2014 and 2018. The Dutch player became the Russian champion with the team in the 2016/17 season.
Promes played in 17 matches and scored six goals in this season of the Russian Championship. In the Russian Championship standings, Spartak is in fifth place with 30 points.
Former foreign coach named The best football player of Spartak in 2023.
