According to information telegram channel SHOT, the accident occurred in the afternoon of December 30 on the A-114 highway in the Cherepovets region. The driver of the Ford S-Max minivan lost control, flew into the oncoming lane and collided with a Scania truck.
The young hockey players, who were sitting in the rear passenger seat at the time, died at the scene because they were not wearing seat belts. Later it turned out that 13-year-old Artem Potapov and 12-year-old Maxim Lebedev were students of Chaika from Sheksna and they returned from competitions, the father of one of the boys was driving, and he died.
The regional investigation committee has already opened a criminal case, and the prosecutor’s office has ordered an investigation into the fatal accident. All conditions for the win are being created right now.
